Welcome!
I’m Whitney. I help women heal the roots of anxiety and overwhelm, and find greater fulfillment, connection, and ease in their lives and relationships.
You’re here because you want to show up for the people you love, but you're struggling to do that while also taking care of yourself. You might be overwhelmed and find yourself snapping at loved ones, feeling irritable, or rushing through the parts of your day that actually matter the most.
If this sounds familiar, you’re in the right place. I help my clients overcome overwhelm, regain fondness and connection in important relationships, and discover joy, calm, and peace in areas of life that used to cause pain and distress.

Parenting
Are you feeling overwhelmed as a mother, and unsure of how to manage all the other areas of your life while also showing up the way you want to for your kids?
Motherhood can be isolating, and you might be feeling really alone in all of this. Even mothers with supportive partners or family can find that the mental load is a burden, and that communicating with others about what would help just doesn’t seem possible.
Therapy can help by giving you your own space, just for you, to express your feelings without worrying about what other people will think, or how they will respond. Mothers who process their own childhood trauma, and grieve absent parents, or parents with limited capacity, find profound relief and greater freedom to parent in a way they choose, rather than inherit.

Pregnancy and Postpartum
Babies require an enormous amount of emotional attunement and relational capacity. If your own mother wasn’t able to provide that safe container for you, these early stages of motherhood can bring up profound feelings of grief, loss, and even bitterness and feelings of hopelessness.
Whatever your journey to motherhood, your story is unique and beautiful. This is a rites of passage, and can bring up trauma and relational pain from your own early life.
This stage of life is inherently destabilizing. If you or someone you love is concerned about your emotional well-being, therapy can support you to find solid ground again. Reach out to me for a free consultation to connect and find relief. You are worth it.

Anxiety in Motherhood
Anxiety has become so common that many accept it as a natural part of life. But this isn’t true, and it doesn’t have to be true for you. If you’re also a mother, you are likely less able to cope than before.
Living in an anxious state can steal the joy from your moments, and as a mom, this can be painful, and cause grief and sadness. Anxiety in motherhood can also come out as irritability and anger, alternating with feelings of hopelessness and depression.
Most people with anxiety have tried to cope with a variety of tools or healing modalities, and often lifestyle changes and alternative medicine can make a big difference. Often, there are underlying patterns that were formed in the earliest years of life, and therapy can help with this.
